This Local Storage & Cache Policy outlines how Nixvoid utilizes your browser's local resources. Unlike traditional platforms, Nixvoid avoids invasive tracking mechanisms.

1. Zero Tracking & Advertising Cookies

We do not deploy, use, or permit third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking beacons. Your session remains untargeted.

2. Essential Local Storage (Strictly Necessary)

To establish our secure cryptographic architecture, Nixvoid heavily relies on HTML5 localStorage, sessionStorage, and the Web Crypto API local environment. These are utilized strictly for:

• Key Management: Temporarily holding your local ECDH Public and Private keys required for E2EE communication.
• Session Integrity: Maintaining your active status, room synchronization, and WebRTC fallback states across accidental tab reloads.

3. User Preferences & UI Configurations

Any personalization you apply to the platform, such as Theme selections (e.g., Luminous, Obsidian) or Privacy Settings (Ghost Mode, Incognito Read, Reduced Motion), is saved securely in your browser's localStorage under nixvoid_active_theme and nixvoid_user_settings. These preferences are strictly client-side and are never transmitted to, synchronized with, or stored on our servers.

4. Auto-Purge Mechanism

We believe in absolute hygiene of your device's memory. When you explicitly trigger the "Exit Chat" protocol, or if a "Session Timeout" is enforced (e.g., app inactivity or tab minimization limits), Nixvoid executes a forceful purge of its allocated local storage, wiping all key pairs and room references.
